Willadean M. Caudle passed away in her home March 19, 2016. Born on May 31, 1922 in rural Orangeville, she was the daughter of George and Valeria (Klontz) Sherbondy. She attended Pleasant Hill Grade School, graduated from Orangeville High School as Valvictorian of the Class of 1940. She graduated from Browns Business College of Commerce, Freeport with an accountancy degree in 1941 and worked for Lybrand, Ross Brothers and Montgomery in Rockford.

She married Edward M. Caudle March 21, 1943 in the Embury Methodist Church, Freeport. They moved to Arlington, Virgina and she worked for the maritine commission in Washington DC. She followed her husband during his WWII stateside training, working for governmental agencies. Upon his naval deployment, she returned to Orangeville and taught at the Pleasant Hill Country School.

When Edward returned in 1946, they started farming in the Orangeville area. She was an active farm wife, driving tractor, raising 3 children, gardening and keeping books and doing taxes for local farmers and small business in the area. She taught Sunday School at Orangeville Methodist Church for 20 years. In 2003 she received the Silver Spoon Award for being the oldest female born and still living in Oneco Township.

She is survived by her children, David (Shirley) Caudle, Dakota, Norman (Annette) Caudle, Mission, TX and Katherine (Kendall) Guither, Walnut, Il; 3 granddaughters, Shirley (Eric) Oakes, Cynthia (Brandon) Steinbach, and Sarah (Nick) Alongi; and 9 great grandchildren, Clint, Colt, Timber, Chase Oakes, Marshall, Sophia, Olivia Steinbach, and Lily and Lium Alongi.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and 1 daughter-in-law, Cheryl (Ibler) Caudle.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 23, 2016 with visitation from 1-3 preceding the funeral at the Cramer-Leamon Funeral Home in Orangeville.
