Waynette Mae Costello, passed away June 18, 2017 at Presence St. Joseph Center in Freeport, IL. She was born April 1, 1935 to Paul and Lola (Bunker) Holland. On October 17, 1953, she and James Costello were united in marriage.  James passed away February 15, 2010.  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lena and a Micro Switch retiree.  Her greatest love was spending time with family.

Waynette is survived by her 3 sons- John (Anita) of Kent, Gary (Julia) of Christiansburg, VA, Timothy of Little Rock, AR; 2 daughters- Cynthia (John) Beasley of Little Rock, AR and Kathy Bookman (Blaine Streckwald) of Freeport; 3 grandchildren- Sara Costello of Valparaiso, IN, Jennifer Bookman (Josh Soto), and Kyle Bookman both of Freeport; great-granddaughter Emma Segalla of Loves Park, IL; brothers- Roumaine Holland of Monroe, WI, Haldean (Lyn) Holland of Eustis, FL, and Merton (Sharon) Holland of Lena; sister Maelinda Holland Bolen of Stockton, IL  and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband James, infant sister Madalene, and grandson Patrick Costello.

The family would like to thank Oakley Courts for the care she received in the last seven years, and Presence St. Joseph for her care in the last two weeks.

Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 23, 2017 at the Leamon Funeral Home in Lena.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lena.

Father Andrew Skrobutt will officiate.

Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Lena.

A luncheon will follow at the St. Joseph Catholic Church.

A memorial has been established in her name.
