Stockton – Wayne Wilbur Niemann, 77, of Stockton, IL passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport, IL. He was born on June 16, 1937 in Scales Mound, IL, the son of the late Wilbur J.L. and Olive R. (Dittmar) Niemann. Wayne grew up attending various country schools in Jo Daviess County and was a member of the Zion Presbyterian Church in Schapville, IL. Wayne enjoyed carving cars and farm implements out of wood and loved taking a drive to visit friends and relatives. He farmed with his parents and his brother in Scales Mound and Warren, IL until his health forced him to retire. Recently Wayne was a resident at Stockton Healthcare and Rehab Center in Stockton, IL.

Wayne is survived by two sisters Janice McKee of Kent, IL, and Linda (Russell) Beyer of Elizabeth, IL and one brother, Delmar (Joyce) Niemann of Stockton, IL as well as many nieces and nephews. Michael, Scott & Marlin McKee of Kent, IL, Julie (Mark) Weaver of Cedarville, IL. Jeff (Lynette) Niemann of Lena, IL, Janie Martin and John Niemann of Warren, IL, Eric Niemann of Stockton, IL and Melissa Niemann of Galena, IL, Jennifer Beyer of Rockford, IL, Janine (Tom) Novy of Normal, IL, Shawn Beyer of Galena, IL and Shelly (Eric) Purchis of Ellsworth, IL as well as many great-nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Robert McKee.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home in Warren.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of service on Wednesday at the Funeral Home.

Interment will take place at Elmwood Cemetery in Warren, IL.

A luncheon will follow at the Warren American Legion.

A memorial fund has been established in his name.
