Virginia E. Saxby, 79 of Lena, Illinois passed away on April 20, 2018 at the Lena Living Center in Lena. Virginia was born on September 7, 1938 in Freeport, IL. She was the daughter of Vernon B, and Margaret L. (Hintz) Saxby. She graduated from Lena High School in 1956. Virginia was employed by Rockford Memorial Hospital and later at Freeport Memorial Hospital as a L.P.N. for a number of years then she was employed for 55 years as a bookkeeper and Dental Assistant to Dr. Cable, Dr. Ziegler, Dr. Dammann and Dr. Wolf. She loved to do canning and Bake in the summer, as well as she loved to clean homes and maintain gardens. Virginia was a big fan of Elvis Presley.

She is survived by her two sisters Nancy Farmer and Elaine Wells and she was loved by her numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Lu Griffin

Celebration of life Services will be held on Friday, May 18 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Beloved church in Lena, IL.

Pastor Steve Cassel will officiate at the services.

Cremation Rites were accorded and no burial will be made at this time.
