Obituary

Lena – Verda G. Fryer, 100 passed away on Saturday April 11, 2015 at the Lena Living Center in Lena. Verda was born on October 24, 1914 in the McConnell area. She was the daughter of Lewis and Anna (Stabenow-Koppin) Homan. Verda graduated from Orangeville, High School. She married George Woodrow Fryer on October 25, 1933 in Cedarville, IL George passed away on July 2, 1984 Verda and George farmed all their lives together in the Red Oak, IL area.
Surviving are two daughters Eleaner (Harry) Dailey of Cedarville and Peggy (Larry) Stamm of Red Oak, IL; six grandchildren, one step granddaughter, twelve great-grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren.
Verda was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three sisters and three brothers.
Services will be at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday April 16, 2015 at the Leamon Funeral Home in Lena.
Visitation will precede the service from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Leamon Funeral Home.
Pastor Nicole Oosthuizen will officiate the service.
Burial will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Grandview Cemetery Freeport, IL.
A memorial has been established in her name.
