Tracy A. Jacobs, of Pearl City, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at the UW Hospital in Madison. He was born on April 3, 1957 in Freeport, IL, the son of August Jacobs and Nancy (Fike) Jacobs.

Tracy was a lifelong dairy farmer in the Pearl City area. He enjoyed showing cattle at the county fairs. Tracy was also a lover of music, which he passed down to all his children. He enjoyed watching his children perform musically and supporting them in the various athletic events throughout the many years. He had a particular love of basketball.

Tracy is survived by his children- Matthew (Kelly) Jacobs of Freeport, IL, Nathan (Jennifer)Jacobs of Gilbert, AZ, Jessie (Danielle Rogers) Jacobs of Freeport, Casey (Miles) Anthony of Freeport, Silas Jacobs of Pearl City; Kurtis (Krista Kraft) Jacobs of Freeport; and Walter Ollie of Pearl City; grandchildren- James, William, Zander, Sophia, Hayes, Drew, Gabriella, Austin, Ethan, Remington, and Ruger; father August Jacobs of Pearl City; sisters Terri Leniton, Dina Smith, and Doreen (Rick) Diddens; and his two dogs Maggie and Henrietta.

He was preceded in death by his mother Nancy and brother Dean.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

Memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 3 at 4pm at the Zion Church of Freeport.

Directly following the memorial service, a reception will be held from 5pm to 7pm at Zion Church to celebrate his life.
