Tony R. Sciutto, Jr. 72, of Cedarville, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Freeport Memorial Hospital. He was born on April 11, 1943 in Freeport, IL to Tony and Lorene (Lenz) Sciutto. Tony married Sandy Cross on October 20, 1962 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Freeport.

Tony was employed in the banking industry for fifty –one years; most recently Vice President at the State Bank in Freeport. He was a thirty year Charter Member of the Lincoln Douglas Kiwanis Club and was a President and Trustee of the Cedarville Village Board for many years. Tony was an avid hunter and trapper. He enjoyed sports and was a basketball and football referee for twenty-seven years. Tony was inducted in to the Illinois High School Basketball Hall of Fame in 2007. He also enjoyed numerous vacations to Biloxi, MS.

Tony is survived by his wife, parents, brother, Michael (Sue) Sciutto of Galena, IL, sisters-in-Law Pamela (Ron) Schrader of Lena,IL and Myrna Cross of Freeport, IL; mother-in-law, Jewell Keith of Lena, IL; Special niece Vicki (Mike) Monigold of Cedarville along with several other nieces and nephews. He is also survived by many friends including golfing partner, Randy Cummins and referee crew: Bill, Bob, Joe and Frank.

He is preceded in death by his son, Michael J. Sciutto.

A private family service will be held.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

In Lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his name.
