Thomas "Tom" J. Leehan, 76, of Apple River, IL passed away on Wednesday October 8, 2014 at the Stockton Rehab Center in Stockton, IL. Tom was born on January 8, 1938 in Freeport, IL to Francis and Helen (Meade) Leehan. He married Iva Beyer in June 1958, together they raised four children; she passed away on October 3, 1993. Tom then married Alberta Douglas in 1999. He was a life-long farmer in rural Apple River on the family farm. Tom was a member of the Apple River Lions club, he was the biggest Green Bay Packer fan, he enjoyed gardening and loved flowers. Tom also enjoyed playing euchre and going to Dubuque gambling.
Tom is survived by his wife Alberta Leehan of Apple River, IL; children Randall (Janette) Leehan of Apple River, IL, Jim (Melissa) Leehan of Warren, IL, Vickie (Todd) Kieffer of Scales Mound, IL; stepchildren Steve (Sandy) Kilian of Minco, OK, Jerry (Sylvia) Kilian of Oak Creek, WI, Dr. Karla Kilian (Joe Noltner) of Sauk City, WI, Pam (Jeff) Stadler of Roscoe, IL, Sandy (Mark) Risser of Apple River, IL, Kevin (Roni) Douglas of Poynette, WI, Kirk Douglas of Portage, WI, Sherry DeLao (Brian Judd) of Stoughton, WI; seven grandchildren; many step-grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and many step great grandchildren; and his very beloved Pomeranian Brucie.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Iva, and son John Leehan.
Pastor Barb Otten will officiate the services.
Burial will be at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Apple River, IL.
Funeral Services will be at 10:30AM on Saturday, October 11, at the Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home in Warren, IL.
A visitation will be held from 4-8:00PM on Friday, October 10, at the Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home in Warren, IL.
A memorial has been established in his name.
