Stephen A. Diestelmeier, age 67 of Rockford, IL formerly of Lena, IL passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024 in Rockford, IL. He was born on August 06, 1956, to Marvin Diestelmeier and Darlene (Tessendorf) Womack in Freeport, IL.

For many years, Stephen held various positions at different companies including Gates Rubber Company, Camcar Textron and most recently Quest Global/Collins Aerospace. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and going up to Big Bear Lake as well as going out to dinner.

He is survived by his brother Calvin Sr. (Marylin) Diestelmeier; nephew- Calvin Diestelmeier Jr. 1 great niece and nephew- Elaina and Carter Diestelmeier, as well as his beloved dog Buster.

He is preceded in death by his parents and stepfather Wayne Womack.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Leamons Funeral Home in Lena, IL.

A Private Family Graveside Service will take place at Elmwood Cemetery in Warren, IL.

Cremation Rites have been accorded.

Pastor David Russell will be officiating the services.

A memorial has been established in his memory.
