Obituary

Sharie Morgan, age 76, of Warren, Illinois passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Atrium Health Floyd Hospital in Rome, Georgia.  Sharie was born on March 16, 1947 to Glenn and Marvel (Harris) Edge in Freeport, Illinois.  She graduated from Warren High School in 1965.  Sharie married Michael Morgan on May 3, 1969 in Colorado Springs, CO.

Sharie worked as an Oncology RN while living in Colorado but when she and Mike moved back to Illinois, she became a Surgical RN at FHN. She then got a job with Monroe Clinic as a Surgical RN and was there until her retirement in 2000.  She enjoyed knitting baby blankets and sweaters for her family members, and lap blankets for veterans, playing bingo, and going camping at Lake-Le-Aqua-Na, Seward, Branson, and Florida. She was a member of the ladies' Legion Auxiliary of Warren. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Sharie is survived by her husband Mike of Warren, Illinois; two children - Todd Morgan of South Wayne, WI and Brett Morgan of Leesburg, AL; three grandchildren - Kaylee Morgan, Shaina Kraft, and Micah Morgan; one sister - June (Tom) Shanahan; two brothers - Robert (Joyce) Edge and Richard (Gayle) Edge; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at the Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home in Warren, IL.

A visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday May 13, 2023 at the Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home in Warren, IL.

Pastor Matt Smith will officiate the service.

Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Warren, IL.

A memorial has been established in her memory.
