Sean G. Reed, 34, of Freeport, IL passed away on October 23, 2025.  He was born on October 30, 1990 at Scott Air Force Base, IL. Sean proudly served his country in the United States Marines Corps as a Sergeant.

Sean had many hobbies including paramotoring and paddleboarding.  He also loved Star Wars and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and an automotive enthusiast.

Sean is survived by his son Atlas James Rucker (Reed); parents Stacey and Kirk Knoup of Pearl City and Ronald Reed of West Virginia; grandmother Evelyn Dewitt of West Virginia; sisters- Kayla (Jake) Hoster-Hille of Apple River, IL, Rachel (Derek) Wheeler of Katy, TX, and Doreen Reed of Willow Spring, NC; brother Nick (fiancée Kaitlyn Williams) Knoup; nieces and nephews- Jacob Hoster, Jayde Hoster, Kacela Hille, Piper Hille and Xavier, Tesla Wheeler and Brooklyn Williford; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and close friends including his loving service dog Ahsoka.

He was preceded by his grandmother Nancy Lewis and grandfather Bill Dewitt.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 1:00pm on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Zion Community Church in Pearl City, IL.

The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at Zion Community Church, with Wayne Fischer officiating.

Internment will take place at Highland Cemetery in Pearl City.

Following the burial, a gathering of family and friends will be held at Zion Community Church in Pearl City.

A memorial has been established in his name.
