Sandra J. McLain age 80 of Warren, IL passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. She was born in Freeport, IL on July 1, 1941, to Charles and Gladys (Aurand) McLain. Sandra received her master's degree in education from the University of Wisconsin- Platteville. She taught in Dakota, IL for over 35 years, primarily as a 2 ^nd grade teacher.

Sandra was a lifelong member of the Warren United Methodist Church where she helped with Kids Zone, served communion, helped start the chair yoga group and attended bible studies. During her life she was the proud winner of numerous blue ribbons at the Jo Daviess County Fair. Sandra loved the outdoors, watching the wildlife, feeding birds and squirrels and gardening. After retiring she was an avid traveler. She was also a member of the Warren Women's Club.

She is survived by her cousins Roberta (Woker) Reed and Emily Reed.

Sandra is preceded in death by her parents and cousin Barbara (Morrow) Graham.

A funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at the Warren United Methodist Church in Warren, IL.

Burial to follow at Highland Cemetery in Pearl City, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Warren United Methodist Church.
