Ruth "Ruthie" Harwick, age 83, of Warren, IL passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, June 5, 2026 at Pine Villa Memory Care in Prairie Du Sac, WI. She was born on November 11, 1942 to William and Ruby (Hicks) Blair in Freeport, IL. Ruth married Donald Harwick on July 18, 1959 in Warren. She worked at Honeywell Micro Switch in Warren for many years. She was a member of the Baptist Church in Warren. Don and Ruth enjoyed boating and camping along with horseback  and motorcycle riding. They were members of the Pecatonica Bit and Spur Saddle Club. In their retirement years they spent much of the winter season at Winter Haven in Brownsville, Texas.

Ruth is survived by children-Daniel Harwick, Jim (Molly) Harwick, Margie Capp, Penny (Larry) Tingler; grandchildren- Jolene Raab, Greg Harwick, Amy (David) Hynek, Luke (Melissa) Harwick, Deanna (Marty) Marks, Kristina Capp, Don Tingler, Daniel (Lilly) Tingler, Tyler (Rae'ana) Tingler, Enrique (Che) Medina, Maria Medina; 22 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald, brothers Robert and James, and sister Delores.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at the Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home in Warren.

Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at the Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home.

Officiating will be Rev. Matt Smith.

Internment will take place at Elmwood Cemetery.

Lunch will be provided by Ember and Ash at the Pecatonica Tap House.

A memorial has been established in her name.
