Ruby R. Ashmore's Obituary
Ruby R. Ashmore, 98, of Lena, IL passed away February 4th, 2014 at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport, IL.
Ruby was born on February 15, 1915 to William and Martha (Phillips) Stabenow in Winslow, IL. She married Robert Huss on June 6, 1939, he passed away in July of 1963. She then married Kenneth Ashmore on May 1st, 1964, and he passed away on February 1st, 2004. It gave Ruby great pleasure to garden and bird watch. She enjoyed her family, they meant everything to her.
Ruby is survived by her two daughters; Rebecca Huss-Ashmore of Pittsburg, PA, and Martha Kaiser of Roscoe, IL; four grandchildren, four great grand children, one great-great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews
She is preceded in death by her husbands and all 13 of her brothers and sisters.
Services will be held at Salem United Church of Christ in Lena, IL on Monday February 10, 2014 at 11:00 am.
A visitation will held at Salem United Church from 10:00 am until time of service.
Pastor Randy Nicholas will officiate the service.
A memorial has been established in her memory.
