Rose M. DeMar, 87, of Warren passed away Thursday, July 14, 2016, at her home with her family by her side. She was born on October 26, 1928, in Cuba City, WI to Frank and Theresa (Heitkamp) Salwolke. On June 16, 1951, Rose married Eric Sulgrave DeMar in Apple River, IL. He preceded her in death on March 4, 1997.

Rose was a homemaker and was at her best when she was needed to give a helping hand or say a prayer for family members and friends. She was a member St. Ann's Catholic Church in Warren and enjoyed crocheting, watching birds out her window and sports with her grandson and being with her family.

Rose is survived by her children: Martha DeMar of Seattle, WA, Carolyn (Ronald) Petsche of Warren, IL , Robin Ortman of Warren, IL and Jayne (Tom) Seffrood of Gratiot, WI; twelve grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one niece, Susan (Tom) Gebhart and two nephews, Pat (Molly) Salwolke and Fred Salwolke.

She is preceded in death by her parents and three brothers: Donald, Orrin "Buddy" and Harold.

A private family service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Apple River, IL.

Internment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Apple River.

In Lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the Warren Fire Department.
