Ronald L. Shumaker, 53, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at his home. He was born August 15, 1963 in Freeport, IL the son of Robert and Virginia (Cummins) Shumaker.

Ronald worked at Dura Automotive in Stockton and Sega Mfg in Freeport. He enjoyed the Miami Dolphins, mystery Science Theater 3000, paranormal TV shows, cheesy Sci-Fi movies, and he loved to travel.

He is survived by his 4 children, Rick (Sarah) Shumaker, Kristina Shumaker, Kendra (Dave) Damaschke, their mother, Mary Arand, and Bobby Shumaker; his mother Trish Shumaker; two grandchildren, Colton and Gavin Damaschke; three sisters, Colleen (Dana) Rakowska, Judy (Ed) Booth, and Michelle Musser; his mother Virginia Shumaker, his special friend Nancy and her family, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Shumaker.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 18, 2016 at 3:00pm at the Leamon Funeral Home, Lena, IL

Visitation will take place on Sunday, September 18, 2016 from 1:00 pm until time of service at the Leamon Funeral Home, Lena, IL

Cremation rites will be accorded

Pastor Judy Sherk will officiate the service
