Obituary

Roger D. DeRoche, age 87 formerly of Orangeville, IL, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at Manor Court in Freeport, IL. He was born January 17, 1933 in Chicago, IL, the son of Hal and Emma (Musser) DeRoche. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Roger was a member of the Orangeville American Legion and the Korean Veterans Association of Freeport. Roger worked for the Illinois Central Railroad, Burgess Battery, and eventually retired from Micro Switch after working there for 22 years.

Roger is survived by his cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father Hal DeRoche and his mother Emma Flood.

The family would like to thank the staff at Manor Court for the great care he was given.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Orangeville Cemetery.
