Obituary

Robert C. Cook Sr, 89 of Warren, IL passed away with his family by his side on Friday, August 1, 2025, at SSM Hospital in Monroe, WI after a sudden illness. He was born on June 13, 1936, to Christopher and Alice (Cowen) Cook in Gratiot Township, WI. He was a graduate of Warren High School in the class of 1955.

He married Sharon Sincox on January 1, 1960, and together they raised their children. He farmed for several years in the Shullsburg area. Robert and Sharon moved to Warren, where he drove semi until his retirement.

Robert played fast pitch softball, where he played well into his 40's. He also found great joy in the outdoors where he would go hunting, fishing, and camping. Robert was very proud of his rose bushes and looked forward to sharing them every year. Above all, he enjoyed going to his children's and grandchildren's school activities throughout the years.

Robert is survived by his 6 children- Kathleen McPherson of Lakeville, MN, Robert Cook Jr. of Shullsburg, WI, Justin (Brenda) Cook of Shullsburg, WI, Cara Beth Cook of Cuba City, WI, Nathan (Christa) Cook of Apple River, IL, and Caleb (Shawna) Cook of Warren, IL; 20 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Sharon; Brother- Edwin; son- Christopher; daughter-in-law- Teresa; and special friend- Irene Mellenberger.

A memorial service will take place at12:00pm on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the Stagecoach Trail Event Center in Apple River, IL.

With a visitation from 10:00 am until time of service.

Glenn Gasser and Kenion Coleman will be officiating the service.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

Burial will take place at the White Oak Cemetery in Shullsburg, WI.

A memorial has been established in his memory.
