Richard Dee Wickersham, 61, of Lena passed away suddenly while traveling in Seattle, WA on Friday, July 13, 2018. Rich was born on April 6, 1957 in Valparaiso, IN, the son of Lura Gwendoline (Kleist) and Donald Wickersham. Rich moved to Lena in 1974 and graduated from Lena-Winslow High School in 1975. It was there that he met his wife, Carol L. Klever. They were married on April 7, 1978. Rich started his own floor covering installation business which he ran until his death. Rich was an avid hunter, loved fixing up old muscle cars, and listening to classic rock music.

He is survived by his wife Carol; daughter Megan (Jim) Renner of Columbus, OH; son Cole (Jordon) Wickersham of Lena; sister Vicky Peters of Casper, WY, brothers and sisters-in-law Jim and Marilyn Klever, Russ and Mary Hruby, several nieces and nephews, and countless friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Gwendoline; father Don; father and mother-in-law, William and Marjorie Klever; brother, Donald Jr.; and several aunts and uncles.

A visitation will be from 12:00 noon until 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Leamon Funeral Home in Lena, IL.

A celebration of life will start at 4:00 PM at the Lena Community Center, with a brief service starting at 4:30, and food and spirits to follow.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his name.
