Richard W. Konieczny, age 86, of Lena passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021. He was born on April 3, 1935, in Chicago, IL to Walter and Stephanie (Kolodziejski) Konieczny. He married Janet Keen on September 24, 1955, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Chicago, IL.  Richard was a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, brother and will be deeply missed.

Richard is survived by his son- Thomas (Debra) Konieczny of Scottsdale, AZ; 3 grandchildren- Kari Beth (Ali) Hamidi of Orange County, CA, Katie Lauren (Blake) Crawford of Orange County, CA, and Allyson Rose Konieczny of Scottsdale, AZ; 4 great-grandchildren- Shaheen, Ariana, and Maya Hamidi and Kayla Crawford; brother Fred Konieczny; brother-in-law Edward Keen and sister-in-laws Waunita Keen and Christine Keen.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Janet in 2013, sons- David in infancy and Donald in 2016; sister Ina (Frank) Paglini; sister-in-law Dorthy Konieczny, and brother-in-law Kenneth Keen.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at the Leamon Funeral Home in Lena, IL.

Visitation will be from Noon until time of service on Tuesday, November 9, 2021.

Pastor Keri Rainsberger will be officiating the service.

Burial will take place at Lena Burial Park in Lena, IL.

A memorial has been established in his memory.
