Randall Schubert age 76, of Lena passed away on Tuesday January 30, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on August 24, 1941 in Woodbine, IL to Oscar and Marie (Stadel) Schubert Sr. He married Lucinda "Cindy" Kuhse in May of 1994. Randall's first home was in Woodbine, IL, where he lived until moving to the farm in the Wards Grove area. In 1961 he joined the Army. He began his time in Ft. Leonard Wood, MO and then Ft. Wachutaka, AZ and then spent 2 ½ years in Germany in the 93 signal Battalion, studying communications. When he returned home Randall started his career as a carpenter for Lena Builders until 1980 and then went to Chicago to carry on his trade until retirement in 2002. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Randall and Cindy did 20 consecutive years of Walleye fishing in Canada. He also loved gardening and planting flowers.

He is survived by his wife Cindy of Lena, 3 daughters; Darcey (John) Goebel of Lena, Stacey (Dan Rabe) Schubert of Winslow and Lisa (Chris) Raab of Warren, IL. 6 grandchildren; Jennifer (Rob) Ernst of Stockton, Samantha (Mike) Gassman of Florida, Tyler Campbell of Winslow, Jordan (Haley Olin) Schubert of Brodhead, WI, Rebecca Raab and Kimberlyn Raab of Warren. 3 great grandchildren; Vanessa and Robbie Ernst of Stockton, Riddick Campbell of Dixon. 2 sisters; Nancy (JD) Clemons and Sally (Ron) Buchenau and one brother Richard (Lydia) Schubert. 5 sisters-in-law. 2 small pets Mia and Benji.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Bret Schubert, two sisters Alta and Betty, five brothers; Oscar, James , Dale, Roger and Gary, mother-in-law Lucille Rouse.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday February 5, 2018 at the Leamon Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 3:00 till 7:00 PM on Sunday February 4, 2018 at the Leamon Funeral Home in Lena.

Burial will be at Lena Burial Park.

A memorial has been established in his name.

A luncheon will be held following services at the Lena United Methodist Church.
