Phyllis A. Leitzen, 89 formerly of Warren, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Azura Memory care in Monroe, Wisconsin surrounded by her family.
She was born on October 19, 1926 to Fred C. and Ida (Frank) Wolff.Phyllis worked at Micro Switch for over 20 years before retiring in 1986. She then worked at the Warren School District in the cafeteria for many years which she truly enjoyed. She was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Warren. She had many talents throughout her 89 years. She was a loving Mother, Grandma, and Great-Grandma. She loved cooking, playing cards, traveling and singing in the church choir. Her special talent was crocheting. She truly enjoyed life.
Phyllis is survived by her four children – Richard (Marcia) Leitzen of Brodhead, WI, Ken Leitzen of Freeport, IL, Teresa (Rodney) Beyer of Warren, IL, and John (Sally) Leitzen of Forreston, IL; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one brother Fredrick (Fran) Wolff of Warren, IL; one sister-in-law Sonja Wolff of South Wayne, WI, her special cousin, Marybelle Hay of Warren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Dorothy and Marjorie Herbig, one brother Edward Wolff, and one brother-in-law Donald Herbig.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Warren, IL.
Visitation will be held prior to funeral service, from 11:30 a.m. until time of service.
Officiating will be Pastor Megan Preston.
Interment will take place at Elmwood Cemetery.
