Patrick F. Dyra, 90, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2015 at the Lena Living Center in Lena, IL. He was born on July 13, 1924 in Chicago, to John and Mary (Chambers) Dyra. He served with the Marines during WWII in the Aleutian Islands. He served with the Chicago Police Department (CPD) for 34 years. He married Dorothy Krack on November 25, 1950.

Patrick is survived by three sons; Tom (Sue) Dyra of Pearl City, IL, Mike (Patti) Dyra CPD of Chicago, IL, and Dan (Bern) Dyra of Chicago, IL, three grandchildren; Patricia (Barry) Stolz of Chesterfield, MO, Timothy (Keara) Dyra of Chicago, IL, Julie (John) Galluzzi of Park Ridge, IL, seven great-grandchildren; Justin and Abigail Dyra, Hannah, Gavin, and Dylan Stolz, and William and Rocco Galluzzi, one brother; William Dyra of Lena, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Dorothy, grandson Patrick James Dyra, brother John Dyra, sisters Margaret Schabes and Kitty Rufo.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 3, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Lena, IL.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2015 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at Leamon Funeral Home, and again on Friday, July 3, 2015 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church from 10:00 AM until time of services.

Rev. Andrew Skrobutt will officiate the services.

Internment is at Lena Burial Park.
