Patricia L. Mitchell, 69, of Lena, IL passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on May 29, 1945 in Chicago, IL to Robert D. and Eleanore (Wieczorek) Peterson. On August 22, 1964 she married the love of her life Harold Mitchell in Tacoma, WA. She took great pride in caring for her family,especially during Christmas time, she loved sewing her daughters' wedding dresses and hosting picnics and family reunions in her backyard.

She is survived by her husband Harold of Lena, IL; children Timothy (Dawn) Mitchell of Carpentersville, IL, Tracy Syslo of Gilberts, IL, Tammy Taylor of Lena, IL, Terri (Alex) Roofener of Vilonia, AR, Thomas Mitchell of Algonquin, IL, Toni (Sean) McGarry of South Elgin, IL, Kristy (Dan) Wheeler of Hanover Park, IL, Kevin (Lisa) Mitchell of Batavia, IL, Keith (Christine) Mitchell of Elgin, IL, Kerri (Kevin) Mitchell of Lena, IL; 26 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; siblings Sharon (Doug) Stevens of Washington, Kathy Peterson of Elgin, IL, Terry (Susan) Peterson of Elgin, IL, and Robert (Christie) Peterson of New Mexico.

She is preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law William Taylor.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the Leamon Funeral Home in Lena, IL.

A visitation will be held from 4:00-9:00 PM on Friday, September 19, 2014 at the Leamon Funeral Home in Lena, IL.

Burial will be at Lena Burial Park in Lena, IL.
