Norman "Bill" William Broge was born in Winslow Illinois July 24, 1940, and died on February 22, 2022.  Bill lived in and around the Winslow community his entire life, attended Winslow schools, and married Mary Ann Boeck on August 16, 1964 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lena Illinois.  He worked as a tool and die maker at Newell Window Coverings for most of his life. He and Mary Ann also enjoyed farming in Winslow, and grew crops plus raised beef cattle.  He loved everything John Deere, watching westerns and enjoyed traveling to Wyoming to visit his sisters.

He is survived by his wife Mary Ann, two children -Teresa (Ric) Joranlien of Browntown, WI, and Todd (Kimber) Broge of Durand, IL.  He is also survived by four grandchildren and one great granddaughter, as well as his siblings Allen (Phylis)  Broge of Monroe WI, Laverne(Linda) Broge of  Winslow IL, and Helen Straight of  Buffalo WY.  He was loved dearly by his entire family.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clifford and Bessie (Tiemann) Broge, and siblings Virginia, Nelda and Gene.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. til Noon on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the Leamon Funeral Home in Lena,IL

Funeral Service are to follow, beginning at Noon at the Leamon Funeral Home in Lena, IL.

Officiating will be Rev. Roger Bronkema.

Interment will take place at Rock Lily Cemetery in Winslow.

Luncheon to follow at Winslow Community Center after graveside services.
