Michael L. Ireton, 73, passed away at home under hospice care. He was born on January 30, 1944 to Allen and LaFaye Ireton, in Peoria, IL. He graduated from Weyauwega High School in Wisconsin. Mike served in the Air Force from 1962 to 1966. He then worked for Com Ed, from which he retired. Mike's passion was hunting, golfing, visiting with everyone, and spending many hours tending to his lawn on his favorite John Deere mower. He was a proud member of the Wolf Hollow men and senior golf league, which he volunteered there for 18 years. Mike belonged to the Le Aqua-Na Sportsman Club, the Montana Properties Group and Lena American Legion. He loved to cook for their many events. He was also a daily participant of the "Coffee Clutchers" in uptown Lena.

Mike married the love of his life, Ardris Haas, on August 24, 1968. He is survived by his wife, Ardi; his daughter Nicole (Dean) Rood with their children Sierra (Blue) and Tristan; his son Doug Ireton with his children Beau and Tess. He is also survived by his mother LaFaye Ireton, his two sisters Sharon Redemann and Gaye (Lon) Behm. Michael is survived by the families of his nephews Rory (Stacy) Redemann, Ryan (Sarah) Redemann, and Josh (Heidi) Behm and by his niece Miranda (Matt) Macur. He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Ireton; his parent-in-laws, Joe and Elsie Haas and his brother-in-law, Pat Redemann.

Papa Mike loved attending his grandkids' many events. Whenever he was strong enough, he loved attending Sierra's Augustana volleyball games. He passed on his passion for hunting and fishing to Tristan. Michael thoroughly enjoyed when Beau and Tess visited and spent many hours playing in the park and doing puzzles.

Memorial Services will be on Wednesday February 22, 2017 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Lena. Visitation will be from 9 until the time of service at 11 am. A memorial has been established in Michael's memory in lieu of flowers.
