Michael "Mike" Dore, 79, of Monroe, WI formerly of South Holland, IL, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022 with his family by his side, at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Monroe, WI.   Mike was born on August 24, 1942 in Chicago, IL to Maurice and Muriel Dore.  He attended Loyola University and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance.  Mike married Lois Steinke on May 1, 1965 at St. Aloysius Church in Chicago, IL. Mike and Lois owned and operated Scale Models Limited in South Holland for 15 years.  They then owned and operated The Paint Shuttle in Lena, IL retiring at age 62.

Mike was a member of the South Holland School Board, and the Lena Lions Club.  He enjoyed the railroad, and even served as a private railcar chef.  Mike enjoyed buying and selling things on E-Bay.  He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and visiting his daughter's farm.

Mike is survived by his wife Lois of Monroe, WI, daughters; Melissa (Robert) Schumann of Bradley, IL and Elizabeth (Matthew) Foley of Lena, IL, grandchildren; Amanda (Scott) Healsip, Kalli and Emma Schumann, and Sarah and Aiden Foley, great-grandson; Cameron Healsip, siblings; Debbie (Tom) Chudy, Linda McBain, and Maurie Dore.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Kathy Maradeo and Muriel Drebing, and brother Jackie Dore.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Cremation rites have been accorded.
