Mary L. Ozburn, 64, of Freeport, IL passed away on March 11, 2014 at the home of her fiancé John Goldhagen. Mary was born on December 17, 1949 in Pleasanton, TX to Ricardo Arguijo and Frances Flores. Mary was raised by Simon and Frances (Flores) Zepeda. Mary was a nurse for over 40 years, she was very caring and compassionate for her career, especially for her elders in the nursing homes. Mary was also a devoted Christian and a member of Crossroads Community Church in Freeport, IL, where she participated two mission trips. She loved animals, being a homemaker, dancing, cooking, singing, eating, and being with her family.
She is survived by her sons, Mark (Becky) Ozburn of Lena, IL and Scott Ozburn of Lena, IL; grandchildren Tawni Riepe of WI, and Tyler Oakley of Lena, IL; Tom Ozburn, the father of Mark and Scott; sisters Susan Herrera of Dumas, TX, Petra Lucero of Amarillo, TX, Adelita Reidmiller of Newark, DE, Bea Moore, Belinda Thomas, Juanita Lucero, Leticia Kurnes, Anita Zepeda, JoAnn Zepeda all of El Dorado KS, Diane Arguijo, of Stockton, CA; brothers Dickie Arguijo, John Arguijo of San Francisco, CA; Step-mother Connie Arguijo of Stockton, CA; and her golden retriever Teddy.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Luis and Manuel Zepeda, and sister Isabel Zepeda.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 15, 2014 at 10:30 AM, at the Leamon Funeral Home in Lena, IL.
A visitation will be held on Friday March 14, 2014 from 4-7 PM at the Leamon Funeral Home in Lena, IL.
Pastor Glen Williamson and Pastor John Eastlick will co-officiate the services.
Burial will take place at the Lena Burial Park in Lena, IL.
