Mary Anne Gritzmaker, 76 of Lena, IL passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 3, 2025. She was born on October 27, 1948, in Freeport, IL to Kenneth and Myrtle (Schaney) Knoll. She married Kenneth "Ken" Gritzmaker on July 15, 1967, in Martintown, WI. Mary Anne was employed at Micro Switch/ Honeywell for 30+ years holding various positions during her time there. In 2005, she retired from being a line supervisor there.

Mary Anne was a devoted church member for many years at the Lena United Methodist Church until she recently joined the New Vine Church in Lena, IL. She was an avid reader and enjoyed quilting, crocheting and cross stitching. She also loved traveling and going to the casinos with Ken. In 2017 they had their dream vacation which was a land, air, and sea Alaskan Cruise.  She greatly enjoyed spending time with her family and playing games with her grandchildren and attending their school activities. She had helped start the widow's group at the United Methodist Church, volunteered at the food pantry and was a part of various bible study groups throughout her life.

She is survived by daughters- Rhonda (Tom) Ostendorf of Freeport, IL and Jamie (Brian) Eilders of Lena; grandchildren- Kendra (Patrick) Holland, Brandon Ostendorf, Alyssa Ostendorf, Brian (Jennifer) Wybourn, Jordan (Cora) Eilders, Brendan Eilders, and Brady Eilders; great grandchildren- Brooklyn, Madison, Emmett, Colt, Duke, Claire and Levi; and 3 sisters.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Ken in 2021, 3 brothers and 1 sister.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 7, 2025 at the Lena United Methodist Church in Lena, IL. with a visitation from 9:00 AM until time of service.

Officiating will be Rev. Doug Carroll and Pastor Melwyn Alagodi.

Burial will be at Lena Burial Park.

A memorial has been established in her name.
