Marie E. Zuberbuhler, of South Wayne, WI, originally from Gratiot, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2020, at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Monroe, WI. She was full of life in her 99 years on this Earth.

Marie was born March 3, 1921, in Warren, IL, to Frank and Hatte (Gutzmer) Kent. She graduated in 1938 from Warren High School. She helped on the family farm until she married Clarence Zuberbuhler of Gratiot on February 10, 1940 at the Little Brown church in Nashua, Iowa. She helped farm near Gratiot with Clarence until they moved into Gratiot in 1979 due to Clarence's health. She then went to work for Coast to Coast in Warren for 3 years. She then finished her work at Ace Hardware in Monroe for 22 years as a cashier. She loved being with the many friends while she worked there and is still known as "Mrs. Ace." Marie was a huge sports fan, especially the Packers. She loved going to her son's football games and her grandson's football and basketball games. She loved watching all sports including all of the local games.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband Clarence on May 6, 1996, her son Ron in 2018, her mother in 1987, her father in 1958, and her brother Earl Kent in 1984.

She loved her family dearly-especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Grandson's - Nick (Mia) Zuberbuhler of Darlington, Dan Zuberbuhler of Darlington, and Wade (Angela) Zuberbuhler of Lena; Great Grandchildren- Zoie and Zeke Zuberbuhler of Darlington and Camille, Knox and Kane Zuberbuhler of Lena. Marie also was a second mom to a lot of kids that worked on their farm.

Marie was a member of Wiota Lutheran Church, the Farmer's Wife Card Club for 45 years, the Lafayette County Homemakers, the Pecatonica Club, and served as the county president for 6 years. She was a very busy lady, but loved it all very much.

Due to COVID-19, a private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
