Maribell Dawson Trost, 91, of Warren, passed away at Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County on Thursday, April 13, 2017.  She was born on September 1, 1925 to Truda (Bessett) and Orville Dawson. Maribell married Derryl Trost on December 22, 1946 at Warren United Methodist Church. They were together 65 years.

Maribell is survived by three children; David of Warren, Barbara (Greg) Nelson of Geneseo, and Joanne (Greg) Gallagher of Apple River, six grandchildren; Megan (Mike) Mueller, Dan Trost, Jeff (Christine) Nelson, Kim (Nick) Gehling, Jeremy Gallagher, and Erin (Corey) McClellan nine great grandchildren; Ethan Trost, Lucas Nelson, Cassidy Trost, Mason Mueller, Jack Gehling, Bobby & Derek Nelson, Max Gehling, and Mia Mueller

She is preceded in death by her husband Derryl in 2010, her parents, and her brother Donald.

Remember Maribell from the many roles she played on the farm, being a one room school house teacher, 4-H leader, the many sewing and quilting projects, camping with friends, spending the winters in Texas, attending grandchildren's sporting events, reading almost every book in the Warren library, watching March Madness, and celebrating every Cubs victory.

Cremation rites were accorded.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

A memorial has been established for the Warren United Methodist Church.
