Lyle G. Upmann, 64 of Apple River, IL passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 in Sheboygan WI. He was born in Stockton, IL on November 3, 1955 to Joe and Margaret (Vogt) Upmann. He married Susan Kohnen on February 18, 1992, and she preceded him in death on November 10, 2016.

Lyle is survived by his children- Amy Green (Chad Schoville) of Monroe, WI, Sharon (Brian Bullock) Andrews of Freeport,IL, Tonya (Jeremy) Poe of North Carolina, Ashley (Terry) Brentlinger of Ohio; grandchildren- Shanaye Howard, Alex Green, Nathan Green, Destini-TI Bullock, Aziah Bullock , Zechariah Bullock, Jasmine Bullock, Tameka Bullock, Madison Brentlinger, Ayla Brentlinger , Julianna Brentlinger, Baleigh Poe, Kayleigh Poe, and Trent Poe; brother Bill Upmann; sister Helen Noble; and girlfriend Mary Schueller of Dubuque, IA.

Lyle was preceded in death by his parents, wife Susan, sister Agnes Williams, brothers Jim, Leo and Joseph Upmann.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 2, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Apple River United Methodist Church in Apple River, IL.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2020 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home in Warren, IL.

Officiating the services will be Pastor Roger Bronkema.

Burial will be at West Ella Cemetery in Apple River, IL.

Luncheon to follow at the Apple River United Methodist Church.

A memorial has been established in his name.
