Lyle "Larry" Koehler, age 55, of Stoughton, passed away peacefully at UW hospital Saturday May 27, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. He was born on January 28, 1962 in Freeport, IL to Lyle and Elma Jeanette (Greene) Koehler. He graduated from Le-Win High School in 1980. He married Karen Grebner of Warren, IL on February 11, 1984. He enjoyed playing all sports and coaching his daughters and other children for 37 years. He started the Stoughton Storm Youth Softball League and the Southeastern Dane Volleyball Club and was very proud of all the girls who played for him. Larry was a very family oriented man. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He would do anything to help others.

He is survived by his mother Jeanette Koehler (Dan Reynolds) of Lena, IL, wife Karen Koehler of Stoughton, WI, three daughters, Janelle Koehler of Stoughton, WI, Katie Koehler of Lena, IL and Kristen (Shaun) Jones of Stoughton, WI. Grandchildren, Taylor, JaKobe and Brayden, step grandson, Marshaun Jones. Brother, Lenny( Nora) ,step brother, Mack Reynolds, niece/goddaughter Hailey.  His special friend Jeff Yeager. Many extended family and in laws.

He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday June 2, 2017 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Lena, IL.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 till 8:00 PM on Thursday June 1, 2017 at the Leamon Funeral Home in Lena, IL.

Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery in Galena, IL.

A memorial has been established in his name.
