Lena- Lola Jean Dieterle, 90, of Lena, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Presence St. Joseph Center in Freeport, surrounded by her family. She was born on June 9, 1927 to Alfred and Pearl (Stukenberg) Zumdahl in Mt. Morris, IL. She married Leo Vincent Dieterle on August 3, 1947, and together they raised five daughters. Lola enjoyed gardening, playing cards, cooking, doing crafts; especially sewing, dancing, and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed traveling, especially to Germany, going on Alaskan and Bahamas cruises, and going to the Bahamas for her grandson's wedding. Lola was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lena.

Lola is survived by her daughters Karon (Jack) Fischer of Rolling Meadows, IL, Cynthia Marchant of Glendale, AZ, Charlene Dieterle of Madison, WI, Teresa Stamm of Lena, IL, Mary Lynn (James) Crain of Summerville, SC; nine grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leo in 1994, and her sister Phyllis Binkley.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lena.

A visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of services on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at the church.

Rev. Father Andrew Skorbutt will officiate the services.

Cremation rites will be accorded.

A private family burial will be held at a later date.

A memorial has been established in her memory.
