Linda Schwoob, age 79 of Warren, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at Mercyhealth Hospital- Freeport surrounded by her family. Linda was born on December 6, 1946 in Lena, IL to Randall and Arlene (Blair) Grenoble. She married Ed Schwoob on January 25, 1964 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Warren. Linda worked at Swiss Colony for 17 years. She was a member of the St. Ann's Catholic Church and the Altern Rosary Society. Linda loved camping and putting puzzles together. She loved playing cards and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Linda is survived by her husband Ed; children- Anthony (Kandis) Schwoob of Dodgeville, WI, Teresa (Mark) Herbig of Warren, Brian (Jennifer) Schwoob of Bernard, IA, and Brenda Sewell of Rockford, IL; 8 grandchildren- Cameron (Kasey) Schwoob, Tyler (Alexa) Harvey, Connor Schwoob, Koltyn (Kaety) Reese, Kyle (Stephanie) Reese, Madison (Marlan Fletcher) Schwoob, Hunter (Brieanna Rixen) Schwoob, and Lakeshia Sewell; step-grandchildren- Tyler (Katina) Knoup, Austin (Nycole) Knoup, and Brice Becker; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 step great-grandchildren; 2 brothers- Ronald (Penny) Grenoble of Nora and Rex Grenoble of Freeport, and sister Debra (Ronald) Blair of Warren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son Wayne, grandaughter-Dezarae Sewell, brothers- Robert, Randy, Ricky Grenoble, and 2 sisters- Diane Golackson and Karen Grenoble.
Funeral services will be on Thursday May 28, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Ann's Catholic Church in Warren.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Warren.
Officiating will be Father Hernandez
Cremation rites to follow with burial at a later date.
Luncheon to follow at the church.
A memorial has been established in her name for the Kidney Foundation.
