Obituary

PhLinda Jean (Toay) Neff passed away at her home in Warren, IL. October 8, 2022. She was born April 4, 1937 to John and Thelma Toay in Warren, IL... She was united in marriage to Arlen W. Neff, "Jim" January 21, 1955 at Warren United Methodist Church. Together they built a life farming on White School Road.   Linda continued to manage the farms after Jim's passing in 2003.

Linda loved camping and a good campfire, taking rides in the country, spending time on her deck, and always a good conversation over a good meal. She loved planting flowers when she could and enjoying them on her deck. Her greatest joy was supporting her grandchildren over the years at their rodeos, concerts, and sporting events.  She truly loved cheering them on from the bleachers or from her van. She enjoyed traveling to Texas when she was able and she particular enjoyed the calmness of the ocean. Linda was always game for an adventure.

She was a true farm wife, a mother, grandmother, a friend, and accountant, a sister, an aunt. She finally retired from Land's End several years ago to sleep in late and enjoy late morning coffee. Most of all she was Mom!

Linda is survived by her children Rebecca Neff, Warren, IL. James Neff ( Mary Sue) Gratiot, WI., Jon Neff (Kathy ) Gratiot, WI. Thomas (Denise) Neff, Warren, IL... Grandchildren: Nicolas Neff, Jonathan (Jasmine) Neff, Timothy (Emily Steitz) Neff, Andrew (Joanna) Neff, Anthony (Ashley) Neff, Klarissa Neff, Grace Neff (Riley), Skylar Neff, Laura Bosquez Neff. Her brother Denis (Janice) Toay, Stockton, IL. , and her special friend Gene Brinker Warren, IL. Step- grandchildren: Amanda (Paul) Deveno, Carmen Decker, Tiffany (Chad) Jordan, Beau (Angie) Keegan and 21 great grandchildren.  A niece Lisa Novak, and nephews Garrett Toay & Brian Toay and several cousins.   She is survived by her entourage of several furry grandchildren who loved sharing her bed and giving her lots of love.

Linda is going to be dearly missed by all.
