Lena- Lenore J. Chisholm, 93, of Freeport formerly of Chicago, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2015 at Presence St. Joseph's Nursing Home in Freeport, IL. Lenore was born on September 23, 1921 in Chicago, IL. The daughter of Leonard J. and Sophie M.(Dix) Berlik. She grew up in Chicago along with her twin brother Leroy. On May 1, 1943 she married Donald D. Chisholm in Columbus, Georgia. Together they raised six children.

She is lovingly remembered by her children for her undying devotion to her husband, her love of a good vodka martini, her excellence on the golf course, and her playing the organ at home and at church.

Lenore is survived by her four children: Karen (Gordon) Dammann of Lena, IL, Donna (Donald) Clark of Hingham, MA, Pamela Sammons (John Spitz) of Pottstown, PA and Scott (Dawn) Chisholm of Chicago, IL, Nine grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald, who passed on January 30, 2005, two daughters Lori Ann Chisholm and Sandra Lindow and one brother Leroy Berlik.

The family would like to thank Dr. Merry, the staffs at Oakley Courts, Presence St. Joseph's and FHN Hospice for their loving care and attention Lenore received.

In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to FHN Hospice.

Cremation Rites will be accorded and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL.
