LaVerne F. Jordan, 82 of rural Pecatonica, formerly of Apple River, IL passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at the Lena Living Center in Lena, IL.  He was born on April 21, 1942, in Winslow, IL, to Henry and Vera (Lloyd) Jordan. He married Janene Gutzmer on October 23, 1970, in Peace Church in Browntown, WI. He was a member of the Warren United Methodist Church.

LaVerne is survived by his wife Janene, 3 daughters- Sherri (Rob) Zimmerman, Sheila (Rick) Amborn, and Jennifer (Sean) Pendleton; 7 grandchildren – Kaitlin Jackson, Kyle Zimmerman, Zachary Amborn, TJ Amborn, Merissa Ritschard, Michael Pendleton and Cody Pendleton; 12 great-grandchildren, sister Shirley Cardascio, and many extended family of loved ones and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Phyllis Hook.

Per LaVerne's request no services will be held.

Cremation rites to be accorded.
