Kenneth L. Hudson, 85, of Lena, IL passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Liberty Village in Freeport, IL. Kenneth was born on November 22, 1928 to Charles and Maude (Baysinger) Hudson in Freeport, IL. Kenneth married Iola Rackow on June 29, 1950. Kenneth farmed for five years before beginning his career in construction. He worked for seven years at Lena Builders and then he worked for Brown Construction out of Milledgeville, IL and retired in 1992. He was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Lena, IL, Lena Historical Museum, Carpenters Union, and a volunteer for the Lena Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and vacationing.

Kenneth is survived by his wife Iola of Lena, IL; three daughters Connie Dennison of Moorseville, IN, Ellen (John) Wilwert of Allen, TX, Peggy (Jim) Deitering of Plymouth, MN; son Allen (Karen) Hudson of Monroe, WI; ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a special nephew Arthur (Jan) Tessendorf.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and three sisters.

Services will be held on Monday, July 14, 2014 at 1:00 PM at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lena, IL.

Visitation will be on Monday, July 14, 2014 from 11:00 AM until time of services at St. John's Lutheran Church.

A memorial has been established for the Lena Historical Museum and the St. John's Lutheran Church in Lena, IL.
