Keith S. Windross age 83 of Lena, Illinois passed away after a brief time at the Monroe Clinic Hospice Home on March 22, 2022. He was born in Middlesbrough, England on July 23, 1938, to James and Iris (Maughn) Windross. Keith graduated from Lyons Township High School in La Grange, IL. In 1955 he returned to Middlesbrough to attend college, where he graduated with a degree in Structural Engineering. Keith met his wife Sheila Horsley-Green in 1958 where they married at St. Barnabus Church in Middlesbrough, England. They had two children together their daughter Carolyn born in 1960 and son Steven Paul in 1962. They moved to La Grange in 1963 where he worked for U.S. Gypsum Co, American Galvanizers, and Valmont Industries.

Keith and his wife would spend the weekends in Lena until retirement when they came to live in Lena full time. He was a member (President) of the La Grange School District 105 Board until they moved to Lena full time. Then he was a member of the Lena Village Board for several years. Keith was an active volunteer at My Friends Closet in Lena.  He was active with Cub and Boy Scouts and Campfire Girls in La Grange. He loved to travel, build scale model airplanes of WWII, photography, and reading.

He is survived by his wife Sheila of Lena; son Steven Paul of Lena; sister Susan Johnson of Phoenix; niece Amy.

Keith is preceded in death by his parents; daughter Carolyn in 2019; brother-in-law Calvin Johnson.
