June I. Wichmann, 86, passed away at her home with her family at her side on September 20, 2017. June was born on June 21, 1931 to Arthur and Christina (Lingbeck) Popp in Freeport, IL. She married Dalen Wichmann on May 18, 1962 in Freeport, IL. June worked alongside her husband on their family farm and Swiss Colony in Monroe, WI. She was a member of the Richland Free Methodist Church. She loved spending time with her family and her church family.

June is survived by her husband Dalen; four children- Tim (Deb) Carter of Freeport, Diane (Terry) Gift of Arizona, Rick (Cathy) Carter of Stockton, John (Maureen) Wichmann of Orangeville; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; three sisters- Ruth Oswald of Cedarville, Mary Bedin of Freeport, and Lorraine Shumaker of Rockford; two brothers Robert Popp of Portland, OR, and Carl Sanman of Dubuque, IA.

Preceded in death by her parents, one great grandchild, and sister-in-law Irma Jean Sanman.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 10:00am at the Richland Free Methodist Church, Freeport, IL.

Visitation from 4:00pm to 7:00pm Friday, September 22, 2017 at the Cramer-Leamon Funeral Home, Orangeville, IL.

Rev. Lyle Babcock will officiate the services.

Burial will be at the Richland Cemetery.

A memorial has been established in her name.
