Jose Maria Camarillo, 70 years old, was called home to Jesus on September 29, 2019. He was born August 15, 1949 on his grandparents' ranch in East Orosi. Jose served in the US Army and received a medal of honor for his service in the Vietnam War. He was a lover of music and could be seen playing his harmonica, keyboard and guitar. Jose also enjoyed dancing and spending time with friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent Camarillo Sr. and Lucita Mauricia Herrera Camarillo. He is survived by his brothers Vincent Camarillo II and Jess Camarillo of Dinuba, Phillip Camarillo of Fowler, Thomas Camarillo of Visalia, and his only sister Carmen Huerta of Orosi and many nieces and nephews. He lived out the last of his days with his favorite niece and caretaker Renee Camarillo Rea of Stockton, Illinois.

Graveside services will be held at 9:30 AM on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Ladies Union Cemetery in Stockton, Illinois.

Father Michael Morrissey will officiate the services.

A memorial has been established in his memory.
