John left us on Memorial Day of 2018 at his home in Lena, IL.  He will always be remembered for his commitment to this country and his family. John was proud to be a Green Beret and a member of the Army Special Forces, as well as a father.

John was a union pipefitter for many years.  He was a valued tradesman and an avid outdoorsman.

John belonged to many organizations, the Moose, the American Legion, the VFW, the Masons, and the Lithuanian culture to name a few.

John was preceded in death by his Mother Aldona Macis, Father John J Madenis, Brother Kenneth Madenis, Brother-in-law Dell Burford, Brother Edward Madenis, and Son Donald J Madenis.

John is survived by his Sister Julie Burford, Sister Dorothy (Jeff) Drogos, Sister Janice (Carmen) Tito, Son Jeff (Suzy) Madenis, Daughter-in-law Amanda Madenis, Daughter Jennifer (Ryan) Wyse, Granddaughters Megan Mischung, Eve Wyse, Sophia Wyse, and Grandsons Wyatt Madenis, Gideon Wyse, Tirian Wyse and Elon Wyse.

He will be missed.

A memorial service will be held at the VFW in Belvidere, IL on Saturday, June 9 ^th , 2018 at 11:00. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.leamonfh.com.
