Jimmy Dean Carr, 60, of Lena, IL formerly of Monmouth, IA passed away at his home on Saturday, April 10, 2021. He was born on September 23, 1960 to James and Carol (Hute) Carr in Maquoketa, IA. He married Tammy Mesch on June 20, 1998 together they had a son, Jamie. Jimmy worked at Maple Leaf Cheese Factory in Monroe, WI and at various jobs throughout eastern Iowa. He enjoyed gambling, playing pool, woodworking, restoring antiques, mirror etchings, home repairs, fishing and spending time with his family especially his son and nieces and nephews.   Jimmy also enjoyed riding his bike, and cooking.

He is survived by his son Jamie Carr of Manchester, IA, mother Carol (Allan) Carr of Monmouth, IA.  Siblings; Connie Carr of Shullsburg, WI, Rick (Cindy) Carr of Lena, IL, LeeAnn (Dean) Clark of Cascade, IA. Step grandchildren; Carley (Sam) Ridgeway and Hunter Cornwell. Step Great Granddaughter Adelynn. Several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and the mother of their child Tammy.

He was preceded by father James Carr and brother David Carr.

A celebration of life will be held 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at the Eagle's Club ( 1102 E Platt St ) in Maquoketa, IA.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

A memorial has been established in his name.
