Jill L. Thompson, age 53 of Lena-Winslow, formerly of Savanna, IL passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026, in Monroe, WI.  Jill was born on March 13,1973 in Savanna, IL to John and Faye (Tropp) McColley.  She married Hank Thompson on January 8, 2016, in Freeport, IL.  Jill worked at A.Y. McDonald in Monroe, WI. She had also previously worked at Dura Automotive, Comfort Keepers, and assisted with individuals with intellectual disabilities.  She enjoyed gardening, camping, crafting, and renovating. Jill loved spending time with her family, especially her kids and grandkids.

Jill is survived by her husband Hank; three children- Geoffrey (NaTasha) Carroll, Curtis Story, and Emily Thompson; three grandchildren- Dawson, Harper & Reagan; four brothers- Ed (Debbie), Bill, Mark (Jen) and Matt (Mary); sister Mona Herberger; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother David.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2026 at the Evangelical Free Church in Lena.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.

Officiating will be Pastor Casey Dwyer.

There will be a private family burial after the service.

A memorial has been established in her memory.
