Jeneane M. Trevethan, 85, of Warren, IL passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the Lena Living Center in Lena, IL, surrounded by her family. She was born on August 27, 1931 to William and Rita (Jewell) Hamann in Schapville, IL. She married John "Jack" G. Trevethan on August 14, 1954 at the Scales Mound United Methodist Church. Jeneane was a librarian for the CUSD #205 . She was also a bookkeeper for the Jo Daviess County fair for many summers, she worked at the Savanna Ordinance Depot from 1941-1951 taking a part bombs from the Korean War, and she was a telephone operator. She was a member of the Warren United Methodist church where she was very active with the church activities. She enjoyed reading, listening to music, shopping "til she dropped," and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children; Terry (Debbie) Trevethan, Jan (Mike) Barker, Sharon (Dave) Kaiser, all of Warren, grandchildren; Crystal (Alan) Austin, Curtis Trevethan, Luke (Crystal) Barker, Jase (Amanda) Barker, Jack (Makayla) Barker, Brad (Jinger) Kaiser, Lindsay (Tim) Campbell; 9 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Gladys Perkins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John "Jack" in 1999 and her brother John.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at the Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home in Warren.
A visitation will be from 1:00 PM until time of services on Sunday.
Pastor Roger Bronkema will officiate the services.
Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Warren, IL.
A memorial has been established in her name.
