Jeffrey S. Anson, 63, of Apple River, IL passed away at his home, surrounded by his family on August 11, 2017. He was born on August 11, 1954 in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, to Everett Anson and Helen (Higgins) Swanson. Jeff married Donna Vance on November 22, 2013 in Galena. They were together for 27 years. He farmed in his younger years, and then worked at Titan Tire for 20+ years before getting sick. He enjoyed hunting, riding his Harley motorcycle, spending time with his family, cookouts and cooking, watching Westerns on TV and the Chicago Bears.

Jeff is survived by his wife Donna of Apple River, children; Sarah (Quinn) Hill, Justin (Jessica) Anson, Brian (Rani) Vance, Megan (Brandon) Anson, Aaron (Heidi) Vance, Stacie (Chris) Anson, 21 grandchildren; mother and step-father, Helen (Bill) Swanson, siblings; Teri (Don) Abbott of Roscoe, IL, Lora "Myke" Bennett of Loves Park, IL, Viola Dittbenner of Pecatonica, IL, mother and father-in-law Bernita and Leonard Klass of Stockton, IL, and many brothers and sisters-in-law.

He was preceded in death by his father Everett, sister Pamela Smith, and brother-in-law Glen Bennett.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

A memorial has been established for his memory.
