Jeannine McClanathan age 88, passed away at her home on Wednesday March 7, 2018. She was born on July 10, 1929 in Menominee, WI to Harold and Anna (Hoimer) Halberg. She married Dr. Donald McClanathan on March 7, 1951 in Sterling, IL. Jeannine and Donald met at Cook County Hospital. Prior to their marriage she was a train nurse traveling from Chicago to Florida. The visits there caused her to fall in love with the sun and salt water. They made their family home in St. Petersburg, FL where she retired from nursing to raise   their four children. Jeannine and Donald spent their winters in St. Petersburg, FL for 60 years. She enjoyed many hobbies, some of her most loved were entering any fishing tournament, bowling competition, flying her sea plane, sewing, and cooking up her catch of the day. She will be missed by so many, her family and many of her beloved friends.

She is survived by four children; Michael McClanathan, Jeffrey McClanathan, Patricia McClanathan and Donald McClanathan Jr. Nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald in 2011 and three brothers.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday March 12, 2018 at East Jordan United Methodist Church.

Officiating will be Rev. Jim Miller.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for East Jordan UMC, 22027 Polo Road, Sterling, IL 61081.
