Jeanette "Nettie" Conkey 66, passed away on Wednesday November 28, 2018 at the University Of Madison Hospital. She was born on January 21, 1952 in Illinois to James and Irene (Meier) Patterson.

Nettie was a free spirit, who loved nature and the outdoors. You could always find her with her feet in the water on a hot, sunny summer day, enjoying the scenery that surrounded her. She also had a huge heart for animals, as she'd rescued many through the years. Her children were always her number one priority and would do anything she could for them.

She is survived by 2 children; Jon Travis Conkey and Emily Conkey. 2 sisters; Joan Bennett, Jean (John) Mrowiec, along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and her special dog Diesel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, beloved partner Albert Korn, brother, James "Bert" Patterson, brother-in-law, Dennis Bennett and nephew, James "Jamie" Bennett.

Please come as you are and join us in a celebratory luncheon held at the Lena Community Center on Saturday, December 15 ^th from 11:00 till 3:00. Afterwards, we will head to Jr's Bar and Grill, in McConnell, IL for a toast in Nettie's honor.

In lieu of flowers, we have decided to plant a tree in her honor.
