Janice (Neuenschwander) Wire, 81,  passed away peacefully on July 24, 2023 surrounded by her family at SSM Hospital in Monroe, WI. She was born April 8, 1942, to Arnold and Gwen (Taft) Neuenschwander in Monroe, WI. She attended Winslow High School and Graduated from South Wayne High School. Janice married Virgil Wire on October 2, 1965, in Nora, IL.

Janice worked for Oaktron-Mitek in Monroe, WI for 45 years until her retirement in 2006. She enjoyed her casino trips, polka music, going for rides and out for supper with her friends. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband Virgil, Son- Gene (Kate) Wire; Granddaughters- Justeen (Brandon) Diffenderfer and Elyss (Taylor Williams) McNett; greatgrandchildren – Lottie and Leo Diffenderfer, Emmett and Lela Bawden, and Hayes and Taytum Williams; and sister- Judy Schiller, and several nieces and nephews.

She is proceeded in death by her Parents, Brother- Robert Neuenschwander, sister- JoAnn Frie, brothers-in-law- Bob Frie, Chuck Schiller, and William "Bill" Wire.

A funeral service will take place at 3:00pm on Friday, July 28, 2023, at the Leamon Funeral Home in Lena, IL. with a visitation from 1:00 pm until time of service.

Kevin Cernek will be officiating the services.

The burial will take place at Rock Lily Cemetery in Winslow, IL.

Fellowship will follow the services at Martintown Community Church in Martintown, WI.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

A memorial has been established in her name.
